New loos for old

The old public lavatories that lay locked and unused on Bevington Road, just off Golborne Road, for so many years are now open for business again. The loos have undergone a complete refurbishment with contemporary fittings in gleaming white and Edwardian-style floor tiling.

The loos have some modern innovations as well – baby changing facilities in the men’s as well as the ladies'.

First opened in 1914, the Bevington Road conveniences are said to be the oldest in the Royal Borough.

The loos are open Monday to Thursday, 9am to 6pm and Friday and Saturday from 8am to 6pm.
