APPLICATIONS FOR THIS FUNDING ARE NOW CLOSED

The Golborne Forum, in partnership with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Kensington and Chelsea Social Council, has set up a Golborne Community First Panel to make recommendations to the Community Development Foundation on the allocation of 9,000 of funding over two years.

Small grants are available to voluntary and community groups that are connected with and/or meeting the needs of the local community in Golborne ward.

Your funding request must relate to at least one of following three funding priorities:

Festivals and celebrations
Fun events that bring people together in the ward
Arts and culture
Projects for residents which encourage people to celebrate and get involved in arts and cultural activities
Tackling worklessness
Providing training, advice and support to help local residents gain new skills and employment

The funding priorities are detailed within the Golborne Community First Plan, which you can download here.

Match funding
To be eligible your application must show evidence of significant community participation. This should be in the form of securing match funding, principally in volunteer time, but it can also be donated cash, goods and services.

- the purchase of equipment, like a computer, oven, furniture
- the costs of putting on a local event or workshop
- training for volunteers
