Friendship Bench commemorates Susie Parsons.

Golborne Forum’s former chair, Susie Parsons is now commemorated at the corner of Golborne Road and Southam Street by a new Friendship Bench. Susie passed away in June 2015 and she is much missed by her family, friends, and colleagues in Golborne and further afield.

Golborne Forum chair, Roger Roberts, unveils the Friendship Bench commemorating Susie Parsons.

At a ceremony to unveil the handsome new bench, which was designed by local artist Lara Bohinc, Kensington and Chelsea’s Mayor, Councillor Marie-Therese Rossi, said, “We especially remember Susie Parsons, whose hard work and dedication over many years had a real impact on the area and those who live here. I am sure her son, Ben, takes tremendous pride in all his mother did and I hope this bench is a fitting memorial to her spirit as well all the communities in Golborne.” Susie’s son Ben Perry attended the ceremony with his wife and children.
