Husband and wife team Mohammed Zomlot and Rola Darabaih are behind the business with Rola and Mohammed's mother preparing the food. With a newly arrived baby on top of a new business, they've got their hands full.
'I came to England five years ago to finish my Masters in international business economics which I did at Westminster University,' says Mohammed. 'I worked in hotels to keep myself going but it had always been my dream to have my own business.
'I came to Golborne Road because there's already an established Arabic community here and because this particular premises became available - it was perfect for my family and me and we also live here.
'It's been very hard work but I'm enjoying the neighbourhood and so far, so good with the business.'
As well as a wide range of Palestinian and Mediterranean food, the Maramia Café offers free wireless internet access and a friendly welcome.
