Get your art on the Portobello Wall
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is asking artists to submit their ideas for new art to put on the Portobello Wall between Oxford Gardens and Golborne Road. And for the right art work, there’s an £11,000 commission on offer. The deadline for submissions is Friday June 22, 2018.
The theme for this 10th-anniversary Portobello Wall commission is “Connections”. The commission describes the theme as “Connections to the borough’s past, present and future; connections to cultures and communities; connections technological and topographical.”
Submissions should include proposals for outreach work such as artists’ talks or tours, school workshops, and identify prospective partner organisations. There should be at least two proposed activities throughout the duration of the project. The work will be on the Portobello Wall for a year from September 2018.
