Kensington and Chelsea arts grants
Kensington and Chelsea Council has a spring arts grants budget of £30,000 earmarked for local community organisations. The deadline to apply for first set of grants of up to £3,000 is Friday 30 April, 2021.
The money will go to individuals and organisations planning to create innovative and engaging art projects in Kensington and Chelsea. Activities might include poetry, dance, painting or storytelling. Projects can be online or in person if Covid-19 rules allow.
24 Hearts was one of the organisations funded by the autumn 2020 grants round. Project artist, Sophie Lodge, explained, "With the help of the Arts Grants scheme we were able to give North Kensington residents a chance to participate in a community art project from the safety of their homes. There is so much creativity in North Kensington and each project has surpassed our expectations. We will definitely be applying to the grant again."
The deadline for applications for the next round of arts funding is Friday 30 April, 2021.
