New-look bridge unveiled

As you can see, the refurbishment of the southern section of the Golborne Road railway bridge is now complete. The aim of the work is to create a more welcoming entrance to the main shopping stretch of Golborne Road. Work will now commence on the northern span.

The corner of Golborne Road and Elkstone Road, just by the Trellick Tower end of the bridge, is also due for a makeover. Plans are afoot to make the space into Golborne Heritage Corner with new streetscaping and artworks created by local people. Local arts group Brown Baby will lead the work.
