New construction training scheme in Golborne

A new scheme to train young people aged between 19 and 24 who want to work in the construction industry starts in January 2022. The 11-week Building Lives Academy course aims to help people to get into an apprenticeship, job or higher-level training in construction or logistics - and it's based in Golborne Ward.

Building Firm Willmott Dixon is running the scheme at premises on Kensal Road, W10 next to one of Kensington and Chelsea Council’s new homes building sites. The course will feature instruction in construction, health and safety as well as on-site experience. Maths, English and digital skill learning will also be on offer.

The first Building Lives Academy course runs from 17 January to 1 April, 2022 and applications are open until 14 January. Subsequent sessions will be held on 11 April to 28 June 2022; 14 July to 16 September 2022; and 26 September to 25 November 2022.

To register your interest in the Building Lives Academy, email your contact details to Maria Roye at m.roye@londonlc.org.uk or call London Learning Consortium on 07940 751 767.
