Swinbrook Kitchen Garden received a grant from Love Golborne
City Living, Local Life
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has just released the 2013 annual report of its City Living, Local Life funding initiative. This is a ward level grants programme which is called Love Golborne in Golborne Ward and is the responsibility of our three ward councillors, Emma Dent Coad, Pat Mason and Bridget Hoier.
Love Golborne distributed £19,367.30 during 2013. Priorities for funding included: events and projects that brought local people together; helping unemployed people to gain new skills; and arts and cultural activities based in the community.
Some examples of funded projects were computer training for Moroccan women, garden tools for Swinbrook Kitchen Garden, support for Golborne Forum and a theatre project aimed at young people.
