Labour wins in Golborne council elections
In Golborne, people were not only voting in the General Election on May 6th, they were also voting for their three local Councillors to represent them on The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
The winners of the election were the three sitting Councillors, all representing Labour, Emma Dent Coad, Pat Mason and Bridget Hoier. That means Golborne Ward is now one of only two in the Royal Borough with three Labour Councillors. The other is Notting Barns.
The full results, in order of votes won, were:

Frances Owen, Liberal Democrats, 568 votes
Dougal Steward, Conservative Party, 544 votes

James Whelan, Liberal Democrats, 506 votes
Nicholas Beyts, Conservative Party Candidate, 484 votes
Manal Yusuf, Liberal Democrats, 427 votes
Benjamin Parker, Green Party, 344 votes
Golborne Ward surgeries, where constituents can come without appointment to talk to a Councillor, are held every Monday evening (except in August and on Bank Holidays), 7 to 8pm at the Venture Centre, Wornington Road, W10.
