One thing you'd have to say Golborne neighbourhood is not short of is cafécorss, and the good news is that there are some really brilliant places for a coffee, a snack and even a meal. There are too many for us to list them all, but here is a choice selection of just a few of the ones we love.
Flying Horse Coffee
A small chain with other branches in Hackney, Shoreditch and White City, Flying Horse is a relative newcomer to Golborne Road. Like many cafés in the neighbourhood, it's a great place to sit outside and watch the world go by, weather allowing. And the coffee is good.

Café O'Porto
Snacks, sandwiches, patisserie, coffee, cakes is the legend emblazoned on the awning and it's completely true. All of those delights are on offer, served with a delightful Portuguese flavour. Of course, it's not the only Portuguese café in Golborne - there's also Lisboa just across the road and Oporto Patisserie on Portobello Road.

Bluebelles of Portobello
Strategically placed on Portobello Road for those of us who like to keep an eye on what's going on in the neighbourhood, Bluebelles offers one of Western civilization's great achievements, all-day brunch. But they're happy to serve you a coffee on its own as well.

"A tiny, eccentrically decorated place with total commitment to quality across the board, Lowry & Baker on Portobello Road is a local godsend," was Time Out's verdict on this Golborne favourite. And we've got no argument with that.

Leafwild Café
Just on the edge of Golborne Ward on Ladbroke grove. Leafwild Cafdécor offers organic coffee, nourishing food and healthy cakes its website tells us. And we can vouch for all of that. In particular, even although the home-made cakes are promoted as healthy they are absolutely scrumptious.

345 Portobello Road
No confusion about the name of this café since it is indeed located at 345 Portobello Road. As well as an excellent cup of coffee 345 serves a daily menu of freshly cooked - and utterly delicious - vegetarian food. Plus it’s one of those places with an pleasingly relaxed ambience.
