Golborne heritage exhibition
An exhibition is currently running at the Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre to mark the start of work to enhance the Golborne Road railway bridge. The exhibition also launches the development of the Golborne Heritage Corner which will be at the junction of Elkstone Road and Golborne Road.
Local artist Toby Laurent Belson of community arts group Brownbaby has created the exhibition which showcases local heritage from 1800 to the present day.
The show features photographs of Golborne over this period, including some of Roger Mayne’s famous black and white pictures of Southam Street.
Other exhibits include bridge-related drawings and designs from local school children.
