Moroccan Garden

Meanwhile Gardens now has a splendid new Moroccan garden featuring olive trees, traditional terracotta pots and decorative tiling. The garden was created by Al Hasaniya and Meanwhile Gardens and will be coming into full bloom this year with the help of a part-time gardener paid for by Kensington Housing TrustÍs community fund. Al Hasaniya will also be running a variety of activities there from April.

ñA lot of hard work has gone into this, so having a gardener here is great,î explains Zakia Chentouf, Al Hasaniya manager. ñThe community fund is quite a godsend to be honest. WeÍre a small organisation so itÍs good to know thereÍs money available for groups like ours.î

Al-Hasaniya is just one of the 52 voluntary organisations that KHTÍs community fund has helped over the past three years. Golborne community organisations are welcome to apply to the fund.

For more information about the community fund, call Millicent Jobson on 020 8960 5544, email her , or visit Kensington Housing Trust
