Summer activities for young people
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has published its annual guide to summer activities for young people,
Summer in the City, and it includes a selection of activities in and around Golborne.
Here is a selection of
FREE events and activities.
Nurseries Carnival
Monday 12th August, 12 noon to 4pm (approx)
Age: All ages
Themed carnival activities with a parade, games, face painting and much more.
Venue: Kensington Memorial Park, St Mark’s Road, W10 6NN
Kensington and Chelsea Play Day
Friday 16th August, 12 noon to 4.30pm
Age range: All ages
Come and join in at the Play Village. The day includes games, face painting, fun fair rides, sports taster sessions, bike riding, inflatables, and arts and crafts.
Venue: Emslie Horniman's Pleasance, Bosworth Road, W10 5EQ
Summer Dance Camp
Monday 19th to Friday 23rd August, 11.30am to 4.30pm (must attend all days)
Age: 13 to 19, and up to 25 for disabled young people
Learn the latest dance moves with professional choreographers and gain an Arts Award.
Venue: Golborne Youth Community Centre, Acklam Road, W10 5QW

Kensal Voices
Tuesday 20th to Saturday 24th August, 11am to 5pm
Age: 13 to 25 years
Youth Heritage Project about Kensal House. Develop practical film, photography, design, multimedia and acting skills while working with the V&A to explore the heritage of Kensal House.
