Trellick54 Arts Festival
The Trellick54 Arts Festival, a week-long series of free arts events around the tower, roars into life on Monday 6 July. The first section of the Festival features a diverse programme of movies screened outdoors in the ball court by the Tower while the Festival's main event comes on Saturday July 11.
A series of family films, including Bugsy Malone, The Penguins of Madagascar and Toy Story, will be shown every afternoon at 3.30 PM from Monday 6 to Friday 10 July. On each of those days independent films will be screened from 5.30 to 7 PM and a feature will be shown from 7 PM. High quality sound will be broadcast on provided headphones, so you'll get the full effect of high-quality sound without annoying the neighbours!
Saturday is the main day of celebration in the graffiti Hall of Fame which will host live DJs, an outside dance floor, live graffiti, a drum circle, food and drinks stalls and community stalls. Building and thrilling roof tours will also be on offer. The vent starts at 12 PM and runs through to 8 PM.
By the way, it's Trellick54 because it was 54 years ago that Erno Goldfinger's brutalist masterpiece was completed.
