New Golborne film launched

A new oral history documentary about the Golborne Road area launched in May 2014 with a premiere at the Flyover on Thorpe Close. Entitled Wild West 10 – Golborne Stories of Struggle and Resistance, the film was made by Year 5 children from Bevington Primary School and arts organisation Digital:Works.

The film chronicles the history of community campaigning in the area and includes interviews with a cast of local characters as well as former Home Secretary Alan Johnson MP who spent his early years in Golborne and attended Bevington Primary School.
