This enchanting film was shot over 2020 and 2021 at a time when we were all enduring Covid lockdowns. Wornington Green Estate resident Natasha Langridge tells the story of what was happening on the estate during those months in a short film directed by Constantine Gras.
The beautifully shot 8-minute film includes the story of two wood pigeon chicks as they progress to fledging. It also covers the heartbreaking episode when Wornington Green Estate residents and others campaigned unsuccessfully to halt the felling of 37 mature trees.
Natasha Langridge has worked with the BBC Writers Academy and has won a Meyer-Whitworth Award. Constantine Gras edited, photographed and directed the work. He is a community based film maker who has worked on the social housing estates of North Kensington over the past 10 years.
