Market stalls opportunities for young creatives

New Youthquake is a chance for young creatives (18 to 30) from West London and beyond to run a stall on Portobello Road. The programme also offers networking, promotional and educational opportunities. The market events, each with 32 stalls, are on Friday, 24 November and Sunday, 10 December 2023. There's also an associated course at Morley College on Wornington Road, W10.

The programme includes a practical workshop and networking event on Saturday, 18 November on Tavistock Square, just off Portobello. This will allow New Youthquake traders to practice setting up and running a stall before the events themselves. They'll also be able to meet other traders and the Portobello Markets team.

The deadline to apply for a New Youthquake place is Friday, 27 October, 10am.

Free Morley College Market Traders Course
New Youthquake has partnered with Morley College's North Kensington Centre on Wornington Road W10 to deliver a supplementary course for those aged 19-plus. The course is aimed at those who want to get started in market trading and to improve their business skills. It's free for those living in Kensington and Chelsea.

If you're signed up to the Morley College course, your place for both Portobello Road trading events will be guaranteed and the £15 table fee will be waived.

If you're from out of the borough, New Youthquake will sponsor up to five paid places for the course. These will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you're interested please email info@visitportobello.com

Please note you will be required to pay a £50 deposit if offered a sponsored place; this will be refunded on completion of the course.
